Two guys, push mowers and a standard. Here’s how JOCO Outdoors got from there to here — and why the work still looks the same.
Our Story
JOCO started in 2020 with two people, a truck and push mowers — mowing yards around Johnson County and treating every one of them like the only job that mattered.
What we had going for us wasn’t equipment. It was a refusal to leave a property half-done. Straight lines. Clean edges. Everything blown off. If it wasn’t right, we stayed until it was.
Word moved the way it does in neighborhoods like ours — one yard at a time, one neighbor asking another who does their lawn.
Today the equipment is professional-grade and the operation is a lot bigger. What changed for us personally is where we spend our attention: we’re overseeing everything now. Walking properties. Checking the work before it’s called done. Making sure the quality of the work is still excellent — because that standard is the only reason anyone knows our name.
Plenty of companies grow and quietly get worse at the actual work. We grew specifically so we could put more eyes on it.
What We Stand On
Anyone can cut grass. The difference is the edge along the walk, the trimming around the mailbox post, the driveway blown clean. We check it before we pull away.

Where We Are Now
What started as mowing has grown into everything a Johnson County property needs across the year — weekly maintenance and lawn health through the season, landscape installs and hardscaping when you’re ready to change something, cleanups when the leaves come down, and holiday lighting when it gets cold.
