Mowing, fertilization and aeration under one service — the full program that gets turf thick, green and genuinely weed-free, then keeps it that way.
Lawn maintenance is the backbone of what we do, and it’s more than a mower going over grass. A lawn that actually looks good is the result of three things working together: a consistent cut, a season-long feeding and weed control program, and aeration to keep the soil from choking the roots.
We handle all three, which means nobody is pointing fingers when something goes sideways. One company owns the result.
Weekly mowing is what we recommend for almost every Johnson County lawn. Cutting weekly keeps you inside the one-third rule — never removing more than a third of the blade — which is what produces thicker turf, better drought tolerance and fewer weeds. Every visit includes precision mowing, edging, string trimming and a full blow-off of walks, drives and patios.
Bi-weekly mowing is available for slower-growing lawns or tighter budgets. Same edging, trimming and blow-off — just every other week.
Timed granular fertilizer paired with pre- and post-emergent weed control, plus spot treatments through the season. It’s built specifically for the cool-season grasses we grow here — tall fescue and Kentucky bluegrass — to build deep roots, real color and drought resistance while shutting down crabgrass, dandelions and the rest.
Johnson County clay compacts hard, and compacted soil starves roots of air, water and nutrients. We core aerate to open it up, then overseed with premium cool-season blends — bluegrass, tall fescue and ryegrass — to fill thin spots and crowd weeds out. Early fall is the window where this pays off most.
Questions
Weekly through the growing season for most Johnson County lawns. Weekly cutting keeps you inside the one-third rule, which produces noticeably thicker turf and fewer weeds than stretching to two weeks. Bi-weekly works for slower lawns and we’re happy to do it.
Timed granular fertilizer applications through the season, pre-emergent to stop crabgrass before it starts, post-emergent for broadleaf weeds like dandelion and clover, and spot treatments as needed. It’s tailored to cool-season grass, which is what grows here.
Early fall, without much competition. Soil is still warm enough for germination, nights are cooling off, and new seedlings get established before winter with far less weed pressure than a spring seeding faces.
Normally we mulch them — the nutrients go back into your lawn. If you’d rather have them removed, say the word and we’ll haul them off.
We shift you and let you know. We won’t run heavy equipment across a saturated lawn just to hit a date on a calendar — that leaves ruts you’d be looking at for months.
